OUR COMMITTENT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

ANYDESIGN SRL is committed to the Treedom® project in Kenya for offsetting the carbon dioxide emission with the planting of trees.

500trees

More trees, less CO2. Right from the start, ANYDESIGN SRL, has been engaged in the protection of the environment. The choice of natural materials for its products, certifications aimed at ensuring respect for nature and the labour world, and the search for fabrics with low environmental impact are the paths it wants to continue following.

This year we are starting off by taking care of our planet. ANYDESIGN SRL will be giving life to the CUT CO2 project by planting 500 trees in Kenya (mixed forest and fruit trees) to offset the equivalent in CO2 emissions caused by the transport of its merchandise in 2019 (by land, sea and air for a total of 150 tons of CO2), in this way also financing the agro-forestry project for supporting small local farmers and their families.

Each new year ANYDESIGN SRL will be engaged in recalculating the impact of the transport of merchandise and planting new trees. A small gesture of support for the planet and the people who take care of it.

Kenya is crossed by the Equator from east to west and from north to south by the Rift Valley (the Great Tectonic Trench). It overlooks the Indian Ocean and its low, sandy coastline is just one of the geographical elements of a country that has several plateaus, with forests and savannahs, and several mountain ranges. Given the presence of the Rift Valley, the Kenyan territory is also characterized by numerous fresh and salt water lakes and a widespread geothermal activity.

The main purpose of Treedom’s activity in Kenya is to promote small-scale reforestation to farmers through a participatory approach. From 2014, together with numerous local organizations, Treedom reforests rural areas by involving local authorities and providing profitable agricultural alternatives for the population. (Treedom©)
